Who We Are and What This Covers

Davis + Moore Travel is a trading name of DM Travel Group LLC ("we," "us," or "our"), a travel agency. We plan trips and book travel on our clients' behalf, acting as an intermediary between them and the independent suppliers who provide the travel. We operate davisandmoore.com and travel planning quiz pages across multiple destinations. Our postal address is 1309 Coffeen Avenue, Sheridan, WY 82801, United States.

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect your personal information when you browse our website, complete one of our quizzes, use our contact form, or contact us directly. It forms part of our Terms of Service and of our Terms and Conditions of Booking.

Most of our clients are in the United States and Canada, and some are in the United Kingdom and Europe. The Your Rights section below sets out what you can ask us to do, including the rights that apply specifically in California, Canada, the United Kingdom and the European Economic Area.

Information We Collect

If you complete one of our travel planning quizzes, we collect the following information:

Contact information: Your name, email address, and phone number (if provided). These are collected on the lead capture form after you complete the quiz.

Quiz responses: Your answers to questions about your travel preferences, including destination interests, travel dates, accommodation preferences, budget range, group size, and any additional details you choose to share in free-text fields.

AI-generated trip summary: The personalized trip description created based on your quiz responses.

If you use our contact form, or email or call us directly, we collect your name, email address, phone number, and anything you choose to tell us in your message. The contact form asks for your name, email address and phone number, and gives you an optional box for anything else you want to say.

Usage data: Whether or not you fill anything in, we use third-party analytics and advertising tools (Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity, and the Meta Pixel) to collect information about how you interact with our pages, including pages visited, time spent, clicks, scroll depth, and session recordings. This data is collected using cookies and similar technologies.

How We Use Your Information

We use your information to plan your trip and to arrange the bookings that make it happen. That means designing an itinerary around the preferences you shared, checking availability and pricing, and booking accommodation, tours, transfers and other travel on your behalf.

If you contact us through the contact form, by email or by telephone, we use your details to answer you and to continue the conversation about your trip. We reply by email or by telephone.

We also use your information to improve our quiz experience, measure the effectiveness of our advertising, and communicate with you about your trip inquiry.

Text Message (SMS) Communications

If you opt in to receive text messages by checking the SMS consent box on our lead capture form, you agree to receive text messages from Davis + Moore Travel to the phone number you provide. These messages may include information about your trip inquiry, itinerary updates, appointment reminders, and related travel planning services.

Where the consent box appears: The SMS consent box is on the lead capture form at the end of our travel planning quizzes. It is the only place we ask for it. Submitting the contact form on our website does not sign you up for text messages, and we will not text you as a result of using it. We will reply to a contact form enquiry by email or by telephone.

Message frequency: Message frequency varies based on your trip planning activity. You may receive between 1 and 10 messages per month depending on the stage of your inquiry.

Message and data rates: Standard message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile carrier and plan.

Opting out: You may opt out of receiving text messages at any time by replying STOP to any message you receive from us. After opting out, you will receive a one-time confirmation message and will no longer receive text messages from us unless you opt in again.

Help: For help or questions about our text messaging program, reply HELP to any message or contact us at hello@davisandmoore.com.

Consent is not required: Your consent to receive text messages is not a condition of purchasing any goods or services from Davis + Moore or any travel specialist you are connected with.

Supported carriers: Messages are sent via major US carriers including AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, Sprint, and others. Carrier support may vary.

No mobile information sharing: We do not share your SMS consent, phone number, or mobile information with third parties for marketing or promotional purposes. Only Davis + Moore Travel sends text messages under this consent. Your phone number may be shared with the travel specialist assigned to your inquiry for the sole purpose of trip planning communications, as described in the "How We Share Your Information" section below, but your SMS opt-in consent is not transferred to any third party.

How We Share Your Information

With the suppliers who provide your travel. Davis + Moore is a travel agency and acts as an intermediary. To plan and book a trip we share what is necessary with the independent suppliers involved: hotels, lodges, camps, airlines, cruise lines, rail operators, tour operators, ground transport companies, and the local specialists and guides we work with in the country you are traveling to. What is shared depends on the booking, and typically includes your name, contact details, dates, and any preferences or requirements relevant to that supplier. Each supplier handles your information under its own privacy policy.

Before you have booked anything. While we are still designing a trip, we may share your destination, dates and preferences with specialists and operators in order to check availability and obtain pricing. Where we can do that without identifying you, we do.

By asking us to plan or book a trip, you consent to this sharing. It is how a trip gets booked, and without it we cannot arrange anything on your behalf.

With the service providers who help us run the business. We may also share your information with the following, who help us operate our website, our quizzes and our client records:

  • GoHighLevel (customer relationship management, form submissions, email and text messaging). This is where your enquiry and your contact details are stored, and where messages we send you are sent from. Text messages are delivered through its LeadConnector service.
  • Zapier (moving form data between systems)
  • Anthropic (AI trip summary generation)
  • Google (analytics and advertising)
  • Microsoft (Clarity analytics)
  • Meta (Facebook and Instagram advertising)

These providers process your data on our behalf and are bound by their own privacy policies.

We do not sell your personal information to data brokers or marketing companies, and we do not share it with anyone other than the suppliers and service providers described above.

Cookies and Tracking

Our pages use cookies and similar tracking technologies for analytics (Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity) and advertising measurement (Google Ads conversion tracking and the Meta Pixel, which supports advertising on Facebook and Instagram). These tools help us understand how visitors use our website and quizzes and measure the effectiveness of our advertising.

The Meta Pixel lets us measure the results of advertising we run on Facebook and Instagram, and lets Meta show our advertising to people who have visited our pages. Meta processes this data under its own terms and may combine it with information it already holds about you.

Microsoft Clarity may record your browsing session, including mouse movements, clicks, and scrolling behavior, to help us improve the user experience. These recordings do not capture text you type into form fields.

Your choice: When you first visit our website you are asked whether you accept these cookies. Analytics and advertising cookies are not set unless you accept. You can change your answer at any time using the "Cookies" link in the footer of any page, or through your browser settings. Cookies that are strictly necessary for the website to work are always set. Disabling cookies may affect the functionality of our quizzes.

Data Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure. These measures include:

  • All data transmitted between your browser and our servers is encrypted using SSL/TLS (HTTPS) technology.
  • Our websites are hosted on Cloudflare, which provides enterprise-grade security including DDoS protection, Web Application Firewall (WAF), and encrypted connections.
  • Access to your personal information is restricted to authorized personnel only.
  • Third-party service providers we work with (including Zapier, Anthropic, and Google) maintain their own security certifications and data protection practices.
  • We regularly review our data collection, storage, and processing practices to ensure they remain appropriate and secure.

While no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, we are committed to protecting your personal information using industry-standard security practices. If you have concerns about the security of your data, please contact us at hello@davisandmoore.com.

Where Your Information Is Processed

We are based in the United States, and your information is stored and processed in the United States by us and by the service providers listed above. It is also shared with suppliers in the country you are traveling to, which may be anywhere in the world.

If you are contacting us from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States, where data protection law differs from the law where you live. Where we transfer personal information out of the United Kingdom, the European Economic Area, Switzerland or Canada, we do so on the basis of appropriate safeguards, including standard contractual clauses where required, or because the transfer is necessary to perform a contract with you, which is the case when we book travel on your behalf.

Data Retention

We keep your contact information and quiz responses for as long as we need them to plan and support your trip, and afterwards for as long as we may need them for our legitimate business purposes, including handling any question or claim that arises from a booking and meeting our record-keeping obligations.

Enquiries that do not turn into a trip are kept for a shorter period. If you ask us to delete your information we will do so, unless we are required to keep some of it by law, in which case we will tell you what and why.

Your Rights

Wherever you live, you can ask us to give you a copy of the personal information we hold about you, to correct it if it is wrong, or to delete it. You can withdraw your consent to any processing that relies on consent at any time. To ask for any of that, contact us at hello@davisandmoore.com.

Withdrawing consent does not affect anything we did before you withdrew it, and it may mean we can no longer arrange or manage a trip for you.

If you are in California

You have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including the right to know what personal information we have collected about you and the purposes for which we use it, the right to request its deletion, the right to correct it, and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising those rights. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising as those terms are defined by the CCPA.

If you are in Canada

We handle your personal information in accordance with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and, where they apply, provincial privacy laws. You have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, to ask us to correct it, and to challenge our handling of it.

If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

If you are in the United Kingdom or the European Economic Area

Where the UK GDPR or the EU GDPR applies to our processing, you have the right to access your personal information, to have it corrected, to have it erased, to restrict or object to how we use it, to receive it in a portable form, and to withdraw consent where our processing relies on consent.

The legal bases we rely on are:

  • Performance of a contract, or steps taken at your request before entering one, when we plan your trip and make bookings on your behalf. Without this information we cannot arrange travel for you.
  • Your consent, for analytics and advertising cookies and for text messages. You can withdraw it at any time.
  • Our legitimate interests, in running and improving our business, understanding how our website is used, and keeping records. We balance those interests against your rights.
  • Legal obligation, where we are required to keep records.

You also have the right to complain to your local supervisory authority, which in the United Kingdom is the Information Commissioner's Office.

Third-Party Links

Our pages may contain links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these websites and encourage you to review their privacy policies.

Children's Privacy

Our services are not directed at individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
